First steps

Card issuer
  1. Call your supplier and demand access to the camera footage.

  2. Make sure to verify that you have set limits and check if they were triggered.

  3. Check if any other cards have had suspicious transactions recently.

  4. If the limits were exceeded, demand full compensation.

Driver
  1. Ask to receive a photo of the fuel card and verify its number against the one registered in your self-service portal (sometimes cards can be swapped).

  2. Check if the driver has made any unusual stops in unclear areas recently.

  3. Question all suspicious details.

  1. Immediately contact the authorities.

  2. Clearly organize the information, as law enforcement may refuse to initiate an investigation due to insufficient details.
